Primark Berry Velvets Eyeshadow Palette

Well, well, well! It’s the LONG awaited Primark make up post! I’ve read so many posts and watched so many YouTube videos about the quality of Primark make up and I’ve been very patient in waiting for it to arrive in my local store (Hull!) but unfortunately for me, the range there is absolutely pants!

I took the opportunity to visit Primark Leeds Trinity today on my travels and WOW! They have such an incredible range of cosmetics. I chose the Berry Velvets Palette as I had seen various instagram posts advertising it.

It contains 9 shadows, almost all of which are shimmery shades. The central rose shade is matte and makes a stunning transition colour. Now, before I show you the inside, I have to say this 3, that’s right, 3 quid for 9 shadows!

The palette imitates the style of Huda Beauty’s Mauve Obsessions palette but at a fraction of the price! Obviously, there are some differences. The pigmentation is no where near as good as the Huda one BUT you wouldn’t expect it to be and the pigmentation is still fairly good for £3. What most impressed me was the incredible blend I got from these shades. I used sweetness as my transition through the crease then smoked the lid out using tough love. On the inner part of the eye, I used a mixture of crush and humble. It just looked amazing when done. See for yourself 🙂

I’m so happy I tried these and they really are excellent for make up lovers on a budget! I wore this make up to a very sweaty drama rehearsal tonight and this is how it looked 4 hours later.

I’m really impressed with the staying power of this product, though in the interest of transparency I prepped my lid using concealer and finished using MAC fix plus so that’s helped too!

I’d certainly recommend trying this product and I will be trying more Primark make up! 🙂
